Yes, we have an ambitious goal! Our goal is to have a presence of therapeutic music next to the bedside of all patients that can most benefit by the intrinsic healing value of therapeutic music. Types of Memberships
There are four NSBTM membership types. Below is an explanation of each.
- Educational Affiliate – Training organizations interested in supporting continuing education of certified therapeutic musicians, consistent with the aims and purposes of the NSBTM.
- Service Placement Affiliate – Organizations whose purpose is to promote the supply of trained therapeutic musicians in healthcare facilities.
- Healthcare Affiliate – Healthcare organizations that are interested in supporting the field of therapeutic music, consistent with the aims and purposes of the NSBTM.
- Accredited Member - An Accredited Member is a training program that successfully is approved by the NSBTM to follow the strict guidelines, vigorous coursework and standards of the NSBTM for training their students to become a capable and professional therapeutic musician.
